ABOUT ME

Everyone wants the view… but very few want to talk about the climb.

Soummer Moore-Crawford is not a candidate shaped by politics—she is shaped by life, service, and results.

A proud daughter of a United States Air Force veteran, Soummer was raised on discipline, accountability, and the understanding that service is not a title—it’s a responsibility. That foundation didn’t just guide her path—it built her resilience.

For over 20 years, Soummer has done the work. From the front lines of housing justice in Wayne County to national advocacy for families navigating broken systems, she has stood where it matters most—next to people. Not in theory. Not in speeches. In real life. Helping tenants stay in their homes. Connecting families to resources. Pushing systems to work for the people they were meant to serve.

She doesn’t just understand policy—she understands people. After surviving a traumatic brain injury, Soummer made a choice: discipline over defeat. Where many would step back, she leaned in—rebuilding, refocusing, and continuing to show up. That journey didn’t weaken her leadership—it sharpened it.

Like the eagle, Soummer leads with vision. She rises above noise, distractions, and division—focused on what truly matters: results, access, and opportunity for every resident.

Her leadership is rooted in one belief:
When people feel seen, supported, and included—communities thrive.
